Our mission is to provide our customers with efficient and reliable metal recycling services while minimizing the environmental impact of our operations. EMR recycles ten million tons of material annually, everything from beverage cans to aircraft carriers.  We work with a wide variety of metals including copper, aluminum, brass, and stainless steel and can recycle it into more than 200 different types of new sustainable raw materials.

Join Our Team as a Regional Maintenance Mechanic

EMR USA is looking for a dynamic Regional Maintenance Mechanic to join our team in the sunny locations of Pensacola, FL, or Mobile, AL. What You'll Do:

  • Champion Safety: Foster a proactive, safety-first culture focused on continuous improvement.
  • Keep Things Running: Maintain all equipment in top-notch condition with well-planned preventative maintenance procedures.
  • Inventory: Manage and oversee spare parts inventory, ensuring we have what we need when we need it.
  • Project Manager: Develop timelines for repairs and ensure projects stay on track.
  • Hands-On Problem Solver**: Make regular site visits to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
  • Documentation Expert: Keep detailed maintenance logs and assist with departmental budgets.

What You'll Bring:

  • Technical Know-How: Expertise in hydraulic and pneumatic systems, with a keen eye (and ear) for detecting malfunctions.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong planning and leadership abilities to guide the maintenance team.
  • Tool Savvy: Comfortable using various power and hand tools.
  • Detail-Oriented: A meticulous approach to every task, ensuring nothing gets overlooked.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: At least three years of maintenance experience, with a preference for welding skills and experience in repairing metal processing equipment, heavy machinery, and trucks.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent.
