Objective of job:

  • Support in assuring the quality of products and work processes with responsibility for the overall testing and gage validation in Metrology Lab. 

 

Principal Activities:

  • Maintains existing calibration records and gaging equipment validations.
  • Plan and document complex test processes for internal use, in collaboration with the unit concerned.
  • Prepare equipment (e.g. set up tensile & compression testing machines, fall tower impact testing, operate and run vision system for layout results, climate chamber peel testing, etc.)
  • Plan and conduct complex tests/inspections related to (project, series, and service).
  • Addresses quality issues through root cause analysis and problem solving methods.
  • Create component group-related evaluations; document the results, recognize deviations.
  • Create test reports according to external customer requirements.
  • Support the development and evaluation of alternative methods for quality assurance/testing.
  • Prepare documents, taking into account customer-specific guidelines.
  • Conduct training sessions; plan and conduct training within the quality testing area.
  • Performs all necessary gage studies including R&R studies.
  • Effectively communicate with supervisors any problems with safety, quality, equipment, and/or productivity.
  • Support and maintain good housekeeping using the 6S principles.
  • Be cooperative with co-workers in order to maintain a good working environment.
  • Serve on cross-functional teams to ensure the continuous improvement of quality.

 

Hours:

Monday to Friday- 2pm to 11pm
