Senior Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support as a member of the CWITT on-site at Electric Boat Shipyard Groton, CT team.

  • Be part of the test team during operability testing.

  • Serve as an onsite technical representative for installation, network, equipment, cabling and fiber issues identified.

  • Document and provide feedback to developers as needed.

  • Provide extensive installation/testing knowledge for multiple sonar systems.

  • Have previous installation team member experience in Sonar installations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain an Active Secret US Government Clearance

  • Bachelor’s degree and 14 years of System Testing and Evaluation professional experience in a submarine environment.

  • Minimum 10 years of previous CWITT experience is required along with experience in TI-20 subsystems.

  • Experience integrating various network operating systems, application programs and hardware devices through system specification, design, coding, testing and maintenance support.

  • Experience preparing and delivering presentations/briefing and have experience being the task lead/manager.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Navy instructed electronics training.

  • Fiber optic certification.

  • Experience across multiple SWFTS subsystems is a plus.
