We are seeking an energetic and reliable Mailroom Associate for our client site in Columbia, MD. The successful candidate will be highly organized, dedicated, able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously and have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities
Receive incoming USPS and overnight courier mail/parcels
Sort and distribute all incoming mail, same day of receipt
Resolve issues with incorrect, returned mail
Pickup outgoing mail from mail stops and apply correct postage
Arrange for pickup of outgoing mail
Process outgoing shipments (Fed-Ex, UPS, USPS)
Weigh mail to determine correct postage
Request funding for postage
Ensure office is adequately stocked with mail supplies
Stock copy rooms and printing devices with copy paper, toner supplies, office supplies
Service copy machines when needed; respond to paper jams, replace interchangeable parts when necessary
Organize and replenish break rooms with coffee supplies. Maintain cleanliness of breakrooms by wiping counters and equipment when needed, daily.
Walk facility and log Corrigo work orders for building issues that require attention (torn carpet, damaged ceiling tiles, etc.)
Respond to Corrigo work orders that are related to Mail Services function by opening tickets assigned on the same day, updating with notes when appropriate, and closing the ticket within the ticket due date. If more time is needed to resolve a ticket, notify the Facility Manager so that the ticket can be extended.
Provide lunch break relief to on site Receptionist on a daily basis. Provide back up support to Receptionist when needed
Track daily workflow by logging daily task and activity on Volume Report. Submit volume report to Lead, weekly.
Adhere to internal procedures and Mail Services National Playbook
Work with Lead to update internal procedures for site specific tasks
Travel to other sites to assist when needed
All other duties and tasks assigned

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
High school diploma or equivalent

1 to 2 years of related experience required

Clean driving record and must have reliable transportation

Must be reliable and professional

Strong customer service skills and ability to provide white-glove services

Self-motivated, organized, and strong time management skills

Attention to detail

Knowledge of Corrigo is a plus

Knowledge of reprographic equipment operations a plus

Ability to spend much of the day on his/her feet. Must be able to work quickly with hands and have good hand/eye coordination

Regularly lift, move and/or carry up to 10 pounds; frequently lift, move and/or carry up to 25 pounds; occasionally lift, move and/or carry up to 50 pounds.
