Sales Customer Service Representative – Winston Salem, NC.

  • · Position available in Winston Salem, NC.
  • · Hybrid schedule.

Cognizant is looking to add Sales and Customer Service Representatives to support the daily operations of a team in one of our retail accounts. The person in this role can turn calls into a positive experience by using our best call guidelines, demonstrating a robust critical thinking and analytical skills to find the best options for our customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Offers Sales and Sales Support interactions from Customers and Sales Associates (phone and email) such as general inquiries, feedback, or incidents

• Uses computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and/or troubleshooting.

• Answers basic inquiries and resolves basic problems.

• Document issues and identifies appropriate actions to resolve inquires including those related to, but not limited to, order entry, order modification, customer billing and payments, pricing, reporting, and customer facing applications.

• Actively re-directs incoming callers to self-service options

• Performs proactive outbound follow-up communications, as necessary

Basic Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

• Must have basic computer knowledge, including typing

• Comfortable talking on the phone to customers

• Previous sales or customer service experience

• Ability to resolve routine problems and questions independently.

• Ability to pay close attention to details and use time effectively.

• Excellent oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary, proper grammar, and the ability to independently compose routine written communications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous call center experience

• Bi-lingual positions in either Spanish or French are available.

Technical Requirements

• Basic computer proficiency and experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel)

• Must be able to pass an assessment that tests computer skills, cognitive skills, and typing speed.
