Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Operator to join our food manufacturing team. The Kitchen Operator will be responsible for the preparation, cooking, and packaging of food products, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and in accordance with safety and quality standards. This role requires a strong understanding of food safety protocols and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Food Preparation and Cooking:

Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes and production schedules.Operate cooking equipment such as ovens, mixers, and kettles.Monitor cooking times and temperatures to ensure food safety and quality.

Quality Control:

Inspect raw materials and finished products for quality and consistency.Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines.Document and report any quality issues to the supervisor.

Equipment Operation and Maintenance:

Set up, operate, and clean kitchen equipment.Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure proper functioning.Troubleshoot and resolve minor equipment issues.

Inventory Management:

Assist in receiving and storing raw materials.Maintain accurate inventory records.Ensure that supplies are replenished as needed.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to meet production goals.Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.Assist in training new employees as needed.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in a food manufacturing or commercial kitchen environment Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.Ability to operate and maintain kitchen equipment.Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Work Environment:

Fast-paced and physically demanding environment.Exposure to varying temperatures, including a hot environment.Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
