We are currently seeking a Transition Manager- EUC to join our team in DC, District of Columbia (US-DC), United States (US).
Background:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technology Transition Manager specializing in End User Computing to join our dynamic team. This role will focus on driving technology transitions for large federal clients in the Washington D.C. metropolitan area and proximate Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of end user computing technologies, extensive experience working with federal clients, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex technology transitions.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage technology transition projects for federal clients, specifically in the area of End User Computing.
- Collaborate with client stakeholders, including IT leadership and end users, to understand business needs, goals, and technical requirements.
- Develop comprehensive transition plans, outlining project scope, timelines, resource requirements, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, security, and support, to ensure seamless transition execution.
- Conduct thorough assessments of existing technology environments, identifying potential challenges and opportunities for optimization.
- Define and document transition processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent and efficient transitions.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to ensure that the transition aligns with industry standards and security protocols.
- Manage communication between internal teams and federal clients, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and milestones.
- Monitor project progress, identify deviations from the plan, and implement corrective actions as needed to keep projects on track.
- Ensure successful knowledge transfer to support teams and end users, enabling smooth post-transition operations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and federal regulations to continuously enhance transition strategies.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 8 years of experience supportng federal agencies understanding their unique needs, processes, and compliance requirements.
- 8 yeats of experience in end user computing technologies, including hardware, software, operating systems, virtualization, and mobile devices.
- 8 years of experience adhering to federal IT security standards and compliance regulations (FISMA, NIST, etc.).
- Must possess current certifications such as PMP, ITIL, CompTIA A+, or relevant vendor-specific certifications are a plus.
- Must live a commutable distance to the client's site in NoVa.
- Must be a US citizen.
