Our global headquarters is in Phoenix, Arizona. Several hundred employees support global operations in finance, human resources, information technology, planning and more from the main office, satellite offices or online. Employees working on a flexible schedule collaborate online and in-person at our Collaboration Hub at the Cotton Center in Phoenix. The Collaboration Hub provides an open, flexible workspace for individuals and teams to come together for various business needs. Phoenix is the capital of the Grand Canyon State and enjoys mostly bright skies throughout the year. Description
Under general supervision, performs varied accounts payable/receivable or payroll duties assuring the maintenance of proper operations and accurate records.
Processes purchase orders, verifies accounts payable invoices, ensures timely and correct payments and maintains vendor filesProcesses and accounts for monies in accounts receivable/payable area, monitors departmental budgets, prepares checks, and reports cash flow needs for payment of invoice/billsCreates and maintains PC spreadsheets to ensure proper tracking of funds and prepares monthly reportsPrepares bank deposits and daily cash balance reports, reconciles bank statements and prepares compliance reportsMay process payroll documents, confirming timesheets and overtime, verifying deductions, charging appropriate accounts, maintaining records of leave accrual and payment of insurance premiumsMay answer complaints and questions from the general publicPerforms other duties as required
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Three (3) years of experience in Accounts Receivable/Payable and PayrollKnowledge of basic Accounting or Business practices and methodsKnowledge of standard computer software, including word processing, database and spreadsheet applicationsKnowledge of public relations/customer service principles, practices and techniquesAbility to communicate effectivelyAbility to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautionsSkilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
Preferred
High School diploma or GED

Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures given in EnglishAbility to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standardsMust be able to work in a potentially stressful environmentPosition is in busy, non-smoking officeLocation requires mobility in an office environmentOccasionally work will be performed in a mine, outdoor or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particlesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, talk, hear and seeOccasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects up to twenty-five (25) pounds during the course of the workdayPersonal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and other protective equipment as requiredFreeport-McMoRan promotes a drug/alcohol free work environment through the use of mandatory pre-employment drug testing and on-going random drug testing as per applicable State Laws
What We Offer You
The estimated pay range for this role is currently $19.00 - $26.00/hour. This range reflects base salary only and does not include bonus payments, benefits or retirement contributions. Actual base pay is determined by experience, qualifications, skills and other job-related factors. This role is eligible for additional discretionary and incentive payment considerations based on company and individual performance. More details will be shared during the hiring process. What We Require
