The Director of Data and Analytics is a member of POWER’s Leadership Team responsible for coordinating and advancing a broad range of strategic initiatives and project management activities relating to programs and operations. The Director of Data and Analytics is responsible for increasing organizational functionality through data collection, analysis and process improvement. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 

Data Management 

  • Supervise the Outcomes Department, taking full responsibility for managing all program data, including the EMR, Client Satisfaction Surveys, POWER Connection Surveys and Outcome data. Provide follow-up survey results. 

  • Liaison to EMR provider and POWER staff, continuing to lead all activities and efforts to maintain and enhance documentation in and reporting from our EMR system. Liaison to Allegheny County, Community Care, and other regulatory and funding bodies; responsible for submitting required reports. 

  • Develop and implement new systems, processes, policies, and procedures for effectively and accurately collecting and reporting data. 

  • Explore and manage new technology options for effective and efficient data collection and reporting. 

  • Be a champion for a data driven culture; assist directors/managers to monitor and evaluate programs/services through data initiatives to ensure such programs/services are operating efficiently, are evidence based and utilizing best practices. 

  • Assist in solving complex EMR problems for all programs. Oversee Credible Superusers.  

  • Train, mentor, and develop Data Specialist and Outcomes Supervisor. 

  • Program Development 

  • Provide guidance and direction to initiative/project plan startup regarding development, project planning, scope, resources, budget and outcomes for agency initiatives assigned by the Chief Operating Officer. 

  • Identify areas for improvement and assist Directors/Managers in process improvement initiatives. 

  • Develop, implement and monitor project plans to ensure successful executive of new initiative Maintain continuous, consistent and thorough content knowledge and status of all assigned initiatives. 

  • In collaboration with project leaders, develop and manage the project plans against the key indicators, including outcome measurements and program metrics. 

  • Establish the cadence and oversight of all projects run by multiple departments to ensure initiative accountability, progress, interdependency, communication, and strategic issue resolution. 

Competencies 

  • Demonstrated leadership skills in facilitating and leading cross-functional teams. 

  • Expertise in analyzing complex data sets and deriving actionable insights 

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets and other financial skills.

  • Proficient at high-level in Microsoft Office 365. 

  • Advanced knowledge of data analytics tools and platforms.

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, or MPH preferred; Project Management Professional Certificate (PMP) and/or Health Care Certification preferred. 

  • Four to six years' relevant experience preferred. 

  • Knowledge, skills, know how to research and determine/provide answers/ solutions /solve complex matters/problems concerning EHR for all programming.  

  • Mature judgement and demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise discretion, and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.  

  • Demonstrated supervisory skills and ability to motivate and engage others. 

  • Collegiality, approachability, and diplomacy at all levels of an organization. 

  • Must be able to travel to various locations as required by the job responsibilities and duties. 

  • Ability to represent POWER to various audiences, including professional appearance, presentation and communication skills.
