Job Summary

As the Director of Financial Operations at the University of Pittsburgh, you will play a critical role in managing the financial reporting and analytical requirements of the Athletic Department. This position involves satisfying the financial reporting and analytical requirements of the Athletic Department and assisting with budgetary functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Complete mandated and ad hoc financial reports, including the Federal EADA Report, NCAA/AUP Report, Private Business Use Questionnaire, Economic Impact Report, and ACC Financial Survey.
  • Analyze, review, reconcile, and track all ticketing and outside event revenues.
  • Work to analyze revenue trends and data, reconcile transactions to the general ledger and other shadow systems, and identify opportunities to streamline business processes throughout the Athletic Department.
  • Assist with budget development and management of annual operating budgets.
  • Maintain supervisory responsibility over the Assistant Director of Business Operations that manages team travel and work closely with those Athletic Department employees that process expense reports and vendor payments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, and/or finance.
  • At least three years of related experience in business and/or intercollegiate athletics.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Tableau.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time regular position with a standard work schedule of Monday - Friday, 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
