Job Description

IFF is seeking a highly motivated Scent Technology and Innovation Scientist to join our team for a 3-month internship.  
Key focus will be on Fragrance Performance/ technical development to support air freshener applications. The outcome of this work will be new products and product / ingredient insights that provide IFF with opportunities for profitable growth.
 
Experience

 

  • Plan & manage work with little guidance from senior technical staff
  • Use creative/innovative skills to develop relevant new concepts for the given category or application (possible fragrance solutions)
  • Strong background in chemistry or engineering
  • Good understanding of physical chemistry 
  • Understanding of IP
  • Strong understanding of consumer insights for home care applications is desired
  • Demonstrate good communication skills - written, & verbal
  • Provide data and develop technical information to support project decision-making and for use in shareholder presentations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point

 

Job Requirements

 

 

  • BS/MS in progress & a minimum 0 years’ experience in the industrial food, pharmaceutical, chemical, cosmetic, consumer goods, &/or fragrance industry
  • Preferred Major - Chemistry, Biology, Chemical Engineering
  • Knowledgeable in lab safety, relevant application, raw materials, & chemical processes
  • Can work independently on projects without direct manager supervision
  • Project Management skills
