The Patient Relations Specialist serves as a liaison between patients, family members, and the health care team members to enhance communication and patient/family satisfaction by identifying and resolving concerns expressed by patients. Makes contact with patients and family to answer questions, follow-up on concerns and provide information. Acts to strengthen the hospital’s commitment that each patient receives, in a compassionate manner, all services and care to which they are entitled.

Work Location: Columbia, MD

Part time Days

8:30am-5pm Monday – Thursday

Minimum education and requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of one (1) year experience in customer service or patient relations required or Associates degree with equivalent work experience.
  2. Demonstrated experience in mediation and conflict resolution required.
  3. Clinical background preferred
  4. Intermediate Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel required
