Patient Relations Specialist

The Patient Relations Specialist serves as a liaison between patients, family members, and the health care team members to enhance communication and patient/family satisfaction by identifying and resolving concerns expressed by patients. Makes contact with patients and family to answer questions, follow-up on concerns and provide information. Acts to strengthen the hospital's commitment that each patient receives, in a compassionate manner, all services and care to which they are entitled.
Work Location: Columbia, MD
Part time Days
8:30am-5pm Monday - Thursday
Minimum education and requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of one (1) year experience in customer service or patient relations required or Associates degree with equivalent work experience.
- Demonstrated experience in mediation and conflict resolution required.
- Clinical background preferred
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel required
