The Carrier Relations Service Delivery Specialist primarily oversees assigned tasks and responsibilities required to successfully complete business and residential customers’ transition to Socket’s network and assist with maintenance of customers’ accounts. Individuals in this role will have strong analytical skills, be very proactive and responsive to customer requests, and have excellent communication skills. The Service Delivery Specialist works closely with the sales team and the Service Delivery Coordinator to ensure the delivery due dates are met. The Carrier Relations Service Delivery Specialist reports directly to the Carrier Relations Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Duties and responsibilities fall into the 4 main categories of Local Number Portability; 911 Services; Directory Listings; and Ancillary Services & Data Tracking.


Local Number Portability and Toll-Free Numbers:


· Place all number port orders with the appropriate LEC.

· Monitors port orders, ensuring all issues related to the port order are addressed in a timely manner.

· Works with Sales Executives and Service Delivery Coordinators to resolve issues preventing number ports.

· Ensures the presence and validity of customer LOA, and Resolves questions and concerns presented by customers and vendors.

· Communicates with various LECs to resolve issues affecting port dates.

· Completes customer number port by working with the customer’s PBX vendor to ensure successful turn-up of services prior to and during customer transition.


911 Services:


· Uses available tools and resources to verify physical address.

· Accurately enters 911 information into appropriate databases.

· Confirms successful submission and acceptance of 911 updates.

· Works with Sales Executives, customers, and various agencies to resolve any 911 issues.


Directory Listings:


· Ensures all customer listings are retained, created, and/or corrected after a port or conversion. Works with Sales Executives and customers to ensure accurate directory listing information.

· Accurately enters and updates directory listings in appropriate LEC and publisher databases.

· Works with Sales Executives and customers to ensure accurate directory listing information.


Ancillary Services & Data Tracking:


· Maintains and updates CNAM/LIDB information in appropriate databases.

· Performs periodic audits of assorted phone number tracking databases to maintain and improve accuracy.

· Writes and maintains procedures.

Requirements:
  • Associates Degree and/or equivalent work experience in the Telecommunications/Internet field is preferred.
  • Qualified candidates must be high school graduates or possess a General Education Degree (GED). Four years related college, trade school, or two years job-related experience in customer or technical service field preferred.
  • Candidates must possess excellent customer service skills, a positive & professional attitude, as well as a desire to succeed.
  • Must have a strong technical aptitude, ability to multitask, work with little supervision and as a team.
