The Superintendent will be responsible for managing and supervising all on-site activities for residential interior construction projects. This role requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of construction processes, and the ability to lead and coordinate multiple trades to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Superintendent to join our team and oversee our residential interior projects in New York City.


Description


  1. On-Site Management:
     Oversee all aspects of the construction process for residential interior projects, including scheduling, coordination, and supervision of subcontractors and trades.
  2. Quality Control:
     Ensure all work is performed to meet the company's quality standards and client specifications, with a strong emphasis on high-end finishes and details.
  3. Safety Compliance:
     Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies to maintain a safe work environment.
  4. Scheduling:
     Develop and manage project schedules, coordinating with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure timely completion.
  5. Problem-Solving:
     Address and resolve any issues that arise during construction, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders to keep the project on track.
  6. Client Interaction:
     Work closely with clients and project managers to ensure expectations are met and provide regular updates on project progress.
  7. Documentation:
     Maintain accurate daily logs, progress reports, and other documentation as required for project management and compliance purposes.
  8. Material Management:
     Oversee the ordering and delivery of materials, ensuring the correct quantities and specifications are met and that materials are delivered on time.

Profile



  1. Experience:
     Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Superintendent in residential interior construction, with a strong portfolio of completed projects in NYC.
  2. Education:
     High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical training in construction management or a related field is a plus.
  3. Skills:

    • Strong knowledge of residential interior construction processes, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and finishing trades.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage and motivate teams.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, construction documents, and specifications.
    • Familiarity with NYC building codes and regulations.
  4. Certifications:
     OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety and Health Certification required; additional certifications in construction safety or project management are preferred.
  5. Personal Attributes:
     Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
