Supervisory IT Specialist

This position is located at Office of the Inspector General for Tax Admin,INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY/CIO. As a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), you will provide high-level, day-to-day support for TIGTA's Information Technology (IT) governance and IT portfolio management activities. Responsible for strategic/operational planning, policy, security, budgeting, acquisitions, administration, planning, coordinating, and implementing related technical/resource management projects and programs.
Duties
As a Supervisory IT Specialist (PLCYPLN), you will:
- Serve as Assistant Director Governance & Portfolio Section for assigned components of TIGTA's IT portfolio activities, typically performing a full range of administrative tasks for the IT Governance Board.
- Supervise the work of Section employees within the Office of Information Technology (OIT), serving as a project manager liaison for a variety of information technology and other related projects. Section may be comprised of professional, technical and clerical employees and may consist of contract personnel.
- Act as escalation point for all request and incidents and advises the Director and CIO as necessary.
- Ensure the work efforts achieve the outcome specified within TIGTA's business and information technology strategies, including appropriate strategic, life-cycle management, and capital IT investment plans
- Work with contract specialists to support acquisition planning, preparation of Statements of Work, and identify purchase requests requirements (re: funding certification, Section 508 reviews, funding code verification, vendor sourcing) that meet Treasury policy.
