Biologics Manufacturing
Biologics is changing the landscape of disease treatment, and BMS is expanding our biologics manufacturing capacity and development. This investment is our commitment to patients and the future of therapeutic advancements. Our state-of-the-art biologics facility spans across biologics process development, clinical trials, and commercial manufacturing with the approach to expedite the progression of potential therapies and reaching our patients. Position Summary
The Biologics Development Business Operations department supports both strategic and operational objectives for Biologics Development including finance, project management, resource management, outsourcing, and operational excellence. Reporting to the Director of Business Operations, this individual will be responsible for the planning and execution of a broad range of activities to support Biologics Development organization including budget maintenance, contract management and operational excellence.
Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for the identification and implementation of Biologics Development (BD) Operational Excellence projects, with the goal of delivering productivity improvements across BDLeads in the development, implementation, and refinement of project management tools and metricsSupport Biologics Development Book of Work through management of outsourced portfolio and associated OpEx & R&D Study Supplies Budget (forecasting, actuals and projections)Maintain and improve collaboration tools for tracking Book of Work, Budget Management and associated data analysisProvide input to strategic sourcing strategy and vendor relationshipsServe as project manager and /or participate, as needed, in any initiatives that are identified in BD annual objectives and/or strategic initiativesProvide departmental business operations support (track objectives, facilitate staff meetings, create/maintain SharePoint sites amongst other activities)Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in business or relevant scientific discipline with >3 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or related industry. Advanced degree or MBA preferredProject management experience with the ability to develop clear action plans and drive execution to meet timelines and deliver on commitmentsDemonstrated ability to build relationships, influence, negotiate, and drive organizational engagementCapable of bringing structure to vaguely defined problems while using creative yet pragmatic problem-solving approaches and execution managementHighly effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skillsStrong presentation, facilitation, and messaging skillsStrong ability to ensure connectivity across multiple functions across sites and with the enterprise If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn't perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway. On-site Protocol
BMS has a diverse occupancy structure that determines where an employee is required to conduct their work. This structure includes site-essential, site-by-design, field-based and remote-by-design jobs. The occupancy type that you are assigned is determined by the nature and responsibilities of your role:
Site-essential roles require 100% of shifts onsite at your assigned facility. Site-by-design roles may be eligible for a hybrid work model with at least 50% onsite at your assigned facility. For these roles, onsite presence is considered an essential job function and is critical to collaboration, innovation, productivity, and a positive Company culture. For field-based and remote-by-design roles the ability to physically travel to visit customers, patients or business partners and to attend meetings on behalf of BMS as directed is an essential job function.
