You will:

Serve as a senior cost recovery specialist, developing judicial and administrative enforcement cases for recovery of hazardous material cleanup costs.
Serve as a regional expert in cost recovery policies and methods, advising technical staff, legal staff and managers on enforcement and cost recovery matters.
Serve as a Work Assignment Manager (WAM) who monitors a specific portion of work under a contract for cost-reimbursable, level-of-effort contracts.
Review all progress reports submitted by contractors in order to properly monitor and control costs as well as ensure contractors' performance and use of proposed personnel.

When entering a Federal job at a grade level lower than the highest promotion potential level, you may be promoted to more complex duties and work more independently, as your career progresses.  NOTE: Career ladder promotions are not automatic, and all eligibility and qualifications requirements must be met in order to progress to the next grade level.

You will spend less than 25% of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.
