The Sales Representative Assistant works with customers to ensure a smooth sales process demonstrating excellent customer service and professionalism.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops sales through leads, cold calls, referrals and new sales opportunities.
  • Follows up on cold and warm leads to further the sales process.
  • Identifies customers that might be reactivated.
  • Reaches out to customer leads through extensive cold calling and follows up on those leads to further the sales process.
  • Follows up answering emails and calls from clients.
  • Responds to customers inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
  • Addresses customer complaints in an appropriate and professional manner escalating concerns as required by current processes.
  • Serves as the point of contact with prospects and clients.
  • Educates prospective customers on products and services.
  • Supports existing clients with information and assistance that relates to products and services and provides pricing and product availability to clients.
  • Learns and operates the operational software.
  • Prepares monthly sales report showing sales volume, potential sales, and areas of proposed client base expansion.
  • Assists the Director of Sales with daily needs and orders.
  • Collaborates with the operations team (customer service and operations manager) to prioritize any urgent orders and customer’s needs.
  • Communicate with other departments and management, as needed.
  • Assist with warehouse processes, as needed.

Skills:

  • Communication: Both strong listening and communication skills are crucial in this position.
  • Teamwork: must be able to work in a teamwork environment to interact with operations, marketing or other sales team members to meet sales goals.
  • Excellent writing and verbal communications, customer service, and organizational skills.
  • Strong follow-through and follow-up skills.
  • Analytical skills to forecast and identify trends and challenges.
  • Previous experience in a sales position can be useful but is not always necessary.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Planning: an ability to think ahead and plan over short-, mid-, and long-term time spans.
  • Strong listening and presentation skills.
  • Strong orientation towards high-performance teamwork.
