Employees who are able to perform the essential functions of their jobs away from an Elevations location may do so with the expectation that they are onsite at least fifty percent of the time over a two-week pay period.

Summary/Objective:

Local Change Foundation, an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization affiliated with Elevations Credit Union, is seeking a Development and Communications Manager to help grow our community impact. This position will play a key role supporting the Foundation’s fundraising efforts, communications and outreach, program management and general administration. We’re looking for a detail oriented self-starter with strong interpersonal, public speaking and written communication skills.

Essential Functions include:

  • Manage special events, including an annual golf tournament, grantee and scholarship receptions, donor/volunteer appreciation events and other fundraising initiatives.
  • Write and proofread donor-facing communications, including thank you letters, appeal letters, mass email, and social media content.
  • Plan & implement credit union employee giving campaigns – payroll contributions, PTO contributions, basket campaigns, etc.
  • Support the Foundation Council (employee volunteer group) in successfully promoting the Foundation.
  • Participate in the bi-annual grant and scholarship outreach and application review process.
  • Deliver Foundation presentations to credit union staff.
  • Attend bi-monthly board meetings and monthly committee meetings and prepare meeting minutes.

The role does not have supervisory responsibility

Required Skills, Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

· At least 3 years of fundraising or event planning experience in a nonprofit setting

· Excellent relationship-building skills and customer service orientation

· Strong interpersonal, public speaking, and written communication skills

· Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple projects

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office products

Preferred Skills, Education and Experience:

· Experience using customer relationship management (CRM) software, email campaigns, and social media

Work Environment:

Elevations uses multi-factor authentication to keep our data safe. As such, a personal smartphone is a requirement for employment with us. This job operates in an office setting and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Physical Requirements:

Sitting frequently, walking occasionally, use of hands frequently, hearing constantly, talking frequently, exerting up to 10 lbs of force occasionally and up to 25 lbs of force infrequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

Part-time - 20 hours a week

Compensation information:

The person hired into this position will likely earn between $29.94/hr and $37.43/hr. 

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on factors such as relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, licensure requirements and/or skill level, and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Anticipated Application Window:

This role is anticipated to close within 25 days from the date of posting. However, if the position has not been filled, Elevations may keep the application period open longer.
