Steel Bay Receiving Associate – 1st Shift (6a-230p)

To help us drive excellence, you’ll get to:

·         Receive all incoming shipments (Steel, Purchased, and sub-contract) and document.

·         Perform all QAD transactions required in an accurate and timely manner – hourly/shift.

·         Visually inspect coil for visual defects such as rust, lamination, scratches, moisture, etc.

·         Take and record coil measurement

·         Unloading of incoming parts (steel, purchased and sub-contract) and placing in appropriate designated area(s).

·         Process scrap steel & aluminum weight tickets

 

This full-time, hourly role is a part of our Materials team and reports to Materials Manager. 

  

Required experience:

·         Must be experienced in data entry.

·         Must be organized and accurate in working with/communicating data.

·         Need an understanding of the Production Department

·         Previous fork Truck and Crane licensed (will have to be certified internally) -Pass written test and demonstrate safe operation of a powered industrial vehicle.                                                   

·         Use scale for weigh control purposes
