Process Improvement Analyst - Channelview , TX

 

LOCATION: Houston Area - Channelview , TX, USA

DEPARTMENT:  Industrial Operations

 

Purpose

Assists internal customers to optimize business processes, by coordinating and building proposals to implement concrete and feasible improvements.

 

Main Responsibilities

  • Analyzes problems and generates solution approaches and action plans.
  • Records and analyzes areas for improvement arising from process analysis.
  • Provides support tasks for process transformation.
  • Assists in the preparation of communication plans and training, as well as the construction of new procedures.
  • Conducts deep, technical cause-effect analysis of process and product parameters during live production.
  • Improves visibility of KPIs through operations and project reporting and develops improvement actions based on KPI analysis.
  • Develops and owns PFMEAs, process maps, and SOPs to reduce waste, capture and mitigate risk, and drive CAPEX planning.
  • Tracks and documents progress vs. plan and documents realized benefits. Shares lessons learned with all key stakeholders.
  • Complies with company policies, procedures, and management standards, and ensures adherence to all laws and regulations that apply to the area of responsibility.

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • Training in Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, and utilization of tools (e.g., MSA, SPC, Visual Management, PFMEA, Control Plans).
  • Proven experience in process analysis, improvement, and transformation.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools to evaluate process performance and improvements.
  • Experience in project planning, execution, and tracking, including documentation and reporting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to assist in the preparation of communication plans and training materials.
  • Ability to work effectively with various stakeholders, including operations teams and project managers.
