Job DescriptionPRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage and coordinate the activities of CNC Programming Department including training, employee development, performance evaluation and hiring decisions. Establish goals and performance objectives for assigned department. Develop a repository of CNC Programming System tools to standardize the programming process and improve programming efficiency. Develop and standardize CAM post processors across all CNC Machines. Support implementation of probing routine across all the CNC Machines Be cognizant of the long term needs of the CNC Programing Department and develop strategic plans/ projects to fulfill these needs. Assist in the root cause analysis of Programming and Machining related non-conformances and develop tools and procedures to avoid reoccurrence. Spear head execution of programming action items from the Cost and Lead Time reduction initiatives. Train CNC programmers on programming standards and best practices. Develop Programmer training manuals and videos. Complete and maintain program documentation and file systems. Formulate efficient CNC programs that improve machining cycle times, and product quality on a need by basis. Contribute towards machining cost reduction by actively seeking and reporting opportunities for reduced costs. Maintain awareness of new ideas in processes, tools, methods etc. and apply them effectively to CNC manufacturing. Perform other related tasks as assigned. Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

FACILITY/GROUP SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES Meet with CNC programming team regularly to discuss feedback and ways to improve our current processes. Utilize Esprit CAM software. Must be competent in 3D Modeling systems and model creation.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. Minimum 10 years' experience in programming or 15 years minimum running and programming machines. Minimum 5 years' experience using Esprit E2K or Esprit TNG. Experience creating and modifying post processors for Fanuc and Siemens control machines. Must be competent in 3D Modeling systems (preferably SolidWorks) and model creation. Experience in programming very large offshore BOP's and other equipment preferred. Experience in Programming large G&L, Vertical machining Centers, HBM's utilizing Fanuc Controls primarily is preferred. Prefer experience using Vericut and Creating Probing Routines.
