Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and energetic AM Line Cook to join our culinary team at Fat Rooster. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cooking, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen environment. This position requires a strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional quality to our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish. Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to meet health department standards. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization, ensuring all workstations are clean and stocked. Efficiently execute prep and production work assignments, meeting time requirements for service. Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and accurate order production. Learn and master all menu items, ensuring the ability to cook each dish to specification. Assist with batch and quantity cooking for larger events or functions as needed. Monitor food stock and communicate inventory needs to the kitchen management team.Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of culinary experience, preferably in a high-volume, upscale hotel or restaurant operation. Certification: Serve Safe Certified or equivalent food safety certification required. Skills: Proficiency in a variety of cooking techniques, including grilling, sautéing, and roasting. Teamwork: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment. Professionalism: High level of professionalism, communication, and hospitality skills. Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.Physical Guidelines:
Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 6-8 hours per shift. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work in a hot, fast-paced kitchen environment with frequent movement.Work Hours:
