Human Resources Business Partner

Location: Resource Center - New Brighton, MN

Meridian Behavioral Health LLC is a leader in behavioral health care and addiction recovery services, with a network of addiction treatment centers in Minnesota. As a strategic business partner, under the direction of the Human Resources Director, the Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units, formulating partnership across the Human Resources function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the goals of the organization. The HRBP serves as a consultant to its business partners on all people, policies, and HR issues.

Job Duties:

  • Consults with assigned business unit management, building relationships and remaining engaged.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.
  • Manages and resolves complex employee relations issues. Conducts effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the Compliance department and legal counsel as needed/required.
  • Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to line management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).
  • Provides HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  • Provides guidance and input on talent management, to include, workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Works as a team to drive effective onboarding and orientation initiatives.
  • Maintains solid and compliant employee records, including accurate data and HRIS maintenance and troubleshooting.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or equivalent combination of education and experience required
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in Human Resources; strong Generalist experience preferred
  • Experience working in healthcare a plus
  • PHR or SHRM-CP certification, preferred
