What you will do

In this vital role you will play a critical role in maintaining the health, safety, and productivity of Amgen staff through the delivery of high-quality clinical care and program leadership. Key responsibilities include treatment of workplace injury and illness, coordinating and managing return-to-work and reasonable accommodations processes, case management of work-related injury/illness, performing medical surveillance exams, and championing health promotion and wellbeing initiatives. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in an occupational health setting, hold a current valid nursing or nurse practitioner license, and possess excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. This is an in-person, onsite position that requires a high level of competency with electronic medical records, knowledge of Occupational Health and safety principles, and strong organizational skills.Key program areas and responsibilities include:

Treatment of workplace injury and illness within clinical license scopeCoordinating and managing return-to-work and reasonable accommodations processCase management of work-related injury/illness and episodic personal health mattersPerforming medical surveillance exams, international travel health consultations; immunizations, and screening testsActing as a strategic partner and resource within the Environment, Health, and Safety teamChampioning health promotion and wellbeing initiativesInsuring compliance with State, Federal such as OSHA, workers compensation and ADA regulationsManaging site AED program and supporting site emergency responseEstablishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff, management, human resources, and security teamsCompliance with ethical, legal, professional requirements, and corporate policies and proceduresWin

Doctorate degree and 2 years of Occupational Health ORMasters degree and 4 years of Occupational Health experience ORBachelors degree and 6 years of Occupational Health experience ORAssociates degree and 10 years of Occupational Health experience ORHigh school diploma / GED and 12 years ofOccupational Health experiencePreferred Qualifications:5+ years of experience in an occupational health settingCurrent valid nursing licenseCurrent furnishing and DEA license (for nurse practitioners)Current CPR/BLS Certification Experience with workers compensation, case management, OSHA regulations, and maintaining OSHA recordsExperience with audiometry and spirometry and OSHA regulated medical surveillance, certification highly preferredCompetency with electronic medical records and documentationExcellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skillsAbility to motivate others and work effectively in teams and independentlyPossess strong clinical skills and ability to rapidly prioritize responsibilities in response to clinical need and staff populationKnowledge of Occupational Health and safety principlesSkill in developing and maintaining records, writing reports, and responding to correspondence.Computer literacy in Microsoft office, competency in power point slidesStrong organizational skills and attention to detailsThrive

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
