Job Summary:

JOB SUMMARY:
Work closely with internal retail marketing team and Agency partners to execute the marketing programs that drive traffic and sales for the company’s retail store system. Partner with other functions to successfully execute marketing plans in accordance with department budget and guidelines.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned):

  • Work with creative team to provide details on in-store point-of-sale development and fulfillment for standard promotional periods.

Manage fulfillment of all POS materials for Grand Openings and standard promotional periods. Order all Phase II POS/signage for newly remodeled stores, new openings and acquired stores. Facilitate store requests for in-store standards POS, Archway and lzbonline. Manage budgets for said activities and achieve cost-savings.

  • Work directly with Agency partners and other external partners to coordinate creative versioning, uploads, print orders, logo/creative requests and trafficking of creative materials.
  • Develop all promotional communications for store field teams and facilitate distribution of communications to store level team members, retail leadership and La-Z-Boy sales management teams.
  • Facilitate and manage creation and upload of all web banners for retail markets and single-store events.

Manage the store hours on la-z-boy.com and external search engines. Update designer/store information on la-z-boy.com. Work with the website development team on retail homepage execution. Set finance codes for Retail in RMS.

  • Work closely with store managers to manage store requests and grassroots efforts and facilitate ongoing management and enhancement of marketing-enabled store level tools.

SCOPE & IMPACT: The Retail Marketing Specialist/Coordinator is responsible for assisting in the development, management and fulfillment/trafficking of many creative assets and will perform executional tasks to support promotional activity for the company-owned stores, which produce more than $600 million in written sales annually. This role is responsible for executing the fulfillment of about 60-80 point-of-sale kits annually and working with up to 5 Agency partners and many internal resources to successfully execute marketing plans within defined time lines and budgets. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business or related field with 0-2 years of relevant experience or equivalent.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Exceptional organization and prioritization skills capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail–oriented
  • Ability to work as part of a team.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams and manage outside resources.
  • An enthusiastic self-starter who is self-motivated and motivates others.
