  • Consulting on state and local tax services with existing clients
  • Assisting with tax planning and research memos
  • Developing an understanding of state and local tax regulations
  • Preparation of tax notices responses and assist with tax field exams
  • Reverse audits and taxability studies
  • Preparation of income and franchise tax returns for various states
  • Preparation of miscellaneous sales tax forms

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Law
  • 1+ year of sales/use tax experience
  • Experience in preparing multiple state tax income or franchise returns
  • Experience with Avalara would be preferred
  • Proficiency with computerized tax software & Microsoft Office.
  • Strong client rapport & project management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Strong leadership, recruiting, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Comfortable working in a remote environment.
