Capabilities & Services Management oversees daily operations of the cross-functional team responsible for digital engagement strategies and vendor management. This role includes forecasting and managing resources, recruiting and developing a diverse team, and ensuring timely delivery of outputs to inform business decisions. The Associate Director ensures collaboration across the team and shares best practices. They work with leaders to develop talent and maintain a culture of quality and inspection readiness.

Primary Responsibilities:

Strategic and Technical Leadership

· Provide strategic and technical direction for vendor management and digital engagement strategies.

· Ensure collaboration with team members and other functions to meet deliverables.

· Implement pay-for-performance structures with vendors.

· Oversee vendor performance and contractual terms.

· Use data and metrics to evaluate team and vendor performance.

· Advise leadership on emerging technical needs.

· Manage team activities within budget.

· Ensure quality and compliance with regulations.

Personnel Management and Development

· Recruit, develop, and retain a skilled workforce.

· Foster an inclusive and innovative team culture.

· Develop staff expertise in drug development and project management.

· Maintain a flexible staffing strategy.

· Facilitate performance management and career development.

· Resolve personnel issues with human resources.

· Participate in succession planning and talent assessment.

· Ensure staff compliance with corporate standards and training requirements.

Enterprise Leadership

· Foster a culture of team partnership and shared learning.

· Collaborate across teams to standardize processes and drive efficiency.

· Engage with leaders to assess business needs and deliver innovative solutions.Minimum Qualification Requirements:

· Bachelor’s Degree

· Minimum 5 years of experience in Legal, contracting, or procurement experience

· Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the country. Lilly does not anticipate providing sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, or TN status) for this employment position.

Other Information/Additional Preferences:

· Previous supervisory experience.

· Post-graduate degree preferred.

· Broad understanding of drug/device development.

· Strong leadership, critical thinking, and communication skills.

· Experience managing complex projects and leading teams through change.

· Prior experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

· Knowledge of quality systems and customer experience delivery.

· Minimal travel required (0-10%).
