JOB SUMMARY: The incumbent is a Research Materials Engineer/Chemist in the National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research, Plant Polymer Research Unit in Peoria, Illinois. The Research Unit conducts basic and applied research to enable new, high-value applications for plant-derived polymers, such as proteins, polysaccharides, and lignin, to support the U.S. agricultural economy and societies' need for more environmentally friendly products.
