As a Test Assembler, you will be responsible for performing the final assembly of the transformer including preparation of the tanks, radiators, conservators, and other parts as well as preparing the transformer for testing. This position is designed for someone who brings a blend of technical expertise, and a commitment to safety and quality compliance. As you progress in your job role, you would be able to support us in growing the department by assisting in the training and development of new hires in the organization.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Preparation of the tanks, covers, radiators, conservators, and other parts for final assembly
  • Performing the final assembly of the transformer following technical standards
  • Preparing the transformer for testing process
  • Disassembly of the transformer accessories after testing to prepare for shipping and dispatch.
  • Operating overhead cranes, forklifts for transport of accessories and components
  • Performing quality inspections and process documentation
  • Supporting in developing and maintaining the documentation of technical instructions for the final assembly and disassembly procedures
  • Training and mentoring of new hires into department.
  • Planning and reviewing the tasks to be carried out according to pre-established production plan and manufacturing standards.
  • Responsible to fulfill and/or to support to fulfill all protocols, policies, guidelines, and competences coming from all current system [EHS, QA, CyberSec, etc.].
What You Bring
  • High school degree or equivalent with relevant technical training/experience.
  • Preferably at least 2 years of experience in the assembly process for large equipment.
  • Experience operating cranes and the ability to obtain a Crane operation certification.
  • Ability to use math, read and interpret complex drawings, and perform complex measurements.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain Keys certification test on reading and writing and Blueprint reading test offered by local community colleges.
  • Applicant must be able to obtain and maintain Fork Truck License and certification for working in heights.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and demonstrate leadership skills to eventually become a trainer/mentor for new hires in the future.
Other Key Requirements:
  • Successful applicants must be able to pass standard hearing, vision, and pulmonary function tests.
  • Must also be able to read, write, understand, and follow verbal and/or written instructions in English.
  • Must be willing to relocate temporarily to Mexico or Brazil for on-the-job training for a period of 3 months or more based on the proficiency in the area of training. Appropriate relocation support and compensation will be provided.
