The Director of Revenue, US REMS, is a hybrid role - and may be based in any US location.

About you

This position contributes as a business partner by leading and designing the effective and consistent delivery of Revenue recognition that enhance the Colliers mission, purpose and core values. As a partner to the business, the Director of Revenue, US REMS, will align the corporate revenue platform delivery model in support of strategic business plans. Proven team leader responsible for managing & coordinating all centralized and non-centralized offices.

In this role

  • You will directly manage and provide oversight of roles within the REMS corporate structure to achieve accurate and timely reporting of revenue across the REMS US business.
  • You will explore new opportunities to maximize the potential of Yardi software; set standards in processes / policies and implements such across the business structuring roles and workloads as needed.
  • You will effectively manage the flow of contract administration to appropriately record revenue from multiple service offerings, by legal entity and market, and being able to evaluate any sales tax or other state or local filing requirements to operate such business; you effectively communicate with Legal & Tax as needed.
  • You create appropriate billing processes and deliverables showcasing accuracy and professional standards of Colliers.
  • You ensure the global accounting policies and procedures are followed including maintaining an effective control environment and adherence to internal controls.
  • You participate in the analysis of revenue and the collection of delinquencies to ensure maximum benefit to the line of business while being able to catch errors that would misstate revenue. Coordinates with Operations to provide accurate and beneficial reporting in Salesforce.
  • You will maintain regular contact and build/maintain solid working relationships with internal stakeholders to provide necessary financial information and ensure the highest level of customer service.
  • Other duties as assigned by the National Finance Director and other leaders of the Real Estate Management Services organization.
  • You have a demonstrated ability and high proficiency in Yardi.
  • At the discretion of the National Finance Director, you will prepare budgets; forecast revenue and investigate revenue variances.

What you'll bring

  • A minimum 8 years related finance or accounting experience in a supervisory role is required.
  • Bachelor's Degree (accounting or finance designation preferred).
  • A minimum of 8 - 10 years of progressively responsible commercial real estate accounting experience in a high growth environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; strongest proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • An ability to work in high volume, fast pace, deadline-driven work environment.
