Job OverviewThis position is responsible for assisting in maintaining scheduling of all field/shop work, communicating and advising customers (both external and internal) of all aspects of repairs and preparing appropriate paperwork, i.e., work orders, warranty, service department estimates/quotes, service department purchase orders for accounts payable, weekly payroll reports.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Provides administrative assistance to the service department by receiving and coordinating customer & internal requests for service information and scheduling work, daily tracking of technician’s time in CDK.
- Provide coordination & technical support for manufacture warranty claim filing, policy warranty requests, and submit claims to the warranty department.
- Communicates with customers on work status and billing information, approves & processes outside purchases to work orders, opens work orders, and edits & closes work orders (invoice work orders).
- Monitors, maintains, purchases & provides inventory control for shop supply inventory and maintains service truck fleet operating expense & operation reports.
- Monitors & maintain branch Safety programs; Meets OSHA and EPA compliance
Qualifications/Requirements

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate Degree or equivalent preferred

Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Must be able to apply the seven principles of the KOMATSU Way to their everyday work activities where applicable.

Strong organizational, communications and customer relations skills; A solid understanding of pricing principles and discounting effects & attention to detail in all areas of responsibility

Good working knowledge of computer & systems in place; basic equipment operations and mechanical functions;
