Job Purpose:

The HR Coordinator supports the HR department by performing a variety of administrative and operational tasks to ensure the effective and efficient functioning of HR processes. This role involves coordinating recruitment activities, maintaining employee records, assisting with payroll and benefits administration, and providing general HR support to employees. The HR Coordinator plays a crucial role in fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring compliance with HR policies and procedures. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.

Requirements

Special Conditions or Certifications of Employment:

•Valid Nevada driver's license and proof of insurance.

•Pre-employment Background Check Required

•Pre-employment Drug Screen Required

Required Education and Experience

•Proven experience as an HR coordinator or relevant human resources/administrative position (2-4 yrs)

•Knowledge of human resources processes and best practices

•Strong ability in using MS Office (MS Excel and MS Powerpoint, in particular)

•Experience with HR databases and HRIS systems (e.g. Paylocity)

•Ability to work with ATS software

•In-depth understanding of sourcing tools, like resume databases and online communities

•Familiarity with social media recruiting

•Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

•Ability to handle data with confidentiality

•Good organizational and time management skills

•BA in Business Administration or relevant field; additional education in Human Resource Management will be a plus - or- 4 years of relevant on the job experience can be used in lieu of degree

Preferred Skills & Experience:

•Experience with Performance Management Systems (i.e.- Lattice)

Essential Functions, include, but are not limited to:

•Respond to internal and external HR related inquiries or requests and provide assistance

•Redirect or return HR related calls

•Send HR related Faxes and emails

•Maintain records of personnel-related data (payroll, personal information, leaves, turnover rates etc.) in both paper and the database and ensure all employment requirements are met

•Liaise with other departments or functions (payroll, benefits etc.)

•Support the recruitment/hiring process by sourcing candidates, scheduling screening calls and interviews and etc.

•Assist supervisors in performance management procedures

•Perform orientations, onboarding and update records with new hires

•Produce and submit reports on general HR activity

•Assist in ad-hoc HR projects, like collection of employee feedback through surveys

•Support other functions as assigned

Travel
Local travel to various events may be required on occasion.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a Part-time position. Normal days and hours of work are TBD (15-20 hours a week) days and hours may vary from normal schedule when program schedule adjusts or other special events arise.

The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The Employee may need to occasionally lift 25-30 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision. Employee utilizes a computer for a significant portion of the day in the performance of duties.
