JOB BASICS:

At LOGE, our Housekeeping Lead serves as a team captain; they rally the Housekeeping crew and they keep everyone in the loop on what’s happening with . They’re the expert on the ins-and-outs of the Housekeeper and House-person roles, from keeping our guest spaces clean as a whistle, making sure in-room amenities are good to go, and helping to make the LOGE grounds really shine. They’re can-do problem solvers, and they help the whole team do their best, so that LOGE guests have an epic time.

LOGE Housekeeping Lead roles are full-time (standard 40 hrs/wk), and include shifts during our busiest times like weekends and holidays.

SKILLS NEEDED:

  • Great customer service skills and a professional, friendly, low-drama attitude.
  • Strong verbal communication skills and a team player mindset.
  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and to keep on track, even when things get busy.
  • A natural knack for keeping things neat and organized, and an eye for detail.
  • An ability to work with basic computer programs, like Excel, email, Teams, and hospitality software.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supports the General Manager to make LOGE a great place to stay and an epic place to work
  • Serves as an expert when it comes to housekeeping, and jumps in whenever needed to help the team with standard housekeeping duties.
  • Have a working knowledge of how to operate and deep clean all housekeeping equipment.
  • Keep all housekeeping closets organized and appropriately stocked.
  • Master the housekeeping assignment process, including daily boards, assigning inspector duties, laundry duties, special cleaning projects and deep clean projects.
  • Help to create and implement inventory management and local vendor ordering procedures.
  • Conducts room inspections and documents all fixes for performance review purposes.
  • Files daily reports on productivity and team morale to the GM
  • While this is not a supervisory role, this role mentors housekeepers and sets the example on company values
  • Works to keep the good vibes high and the drama low in the department
  • Finds ways to help the housekeeping team hit LOGE standards, including quality of clean rooms, productivity, and guest satisfaction (measure by reviews)
  • Develops housekeeping safety programs, and leads monthly safety committee meetings
  • Leads ergonomics training and rolls out equipment/process changes
  • Takes care of our guests and helps answer their questions about property amenities, local recommendations and fun things to do in the area.
  • Assist with special events and group meetings.
  • Perform other duties or special projects as assigned by the GM.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2+ years previous Housekeeping team experience. Previous leadership experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Google Products, hospitality software, and POS software
  • Fluent in English. Bilingual a plus
  • Housekeeping is an active role, involving:
    • frequent bending, reaching overhead and squatting.
    • lifting, carrying, and placing objects weighing up to 40 lbs without assistance.
    • pushing/pulling objects weighing up to 75 lbs without assistance.
    • continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills with frequent use of bi-manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
    • remaining on your feet for extended periods of time.
  • All employees are subject to a background check.
