At The Essex Resort & Spa, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service in a stunning environment. As a pivotal member of our hospitality team, the Room Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring that our guests enjoy a pristine and welcoming atmosphere during their stay.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain an organized and well-stocked work cart at all times.
  • Inspect linens prior to placement in guest rooms, returning any substandard items to the housekeeping department.
  • Utilize equipment, supplies, and guest amenities effectively and responsibly.
  • Ensure thorough cleanliness and sanitation of guest bathrooms.
  • Change soiled linens daily and remake beds according to property standards and sustainability practices.
  • Conduct detailed cleaning of rooms, balconies, and furnishings.
  • Stay vigilant for safety hazards and report any concerns to the Floor Supervisor or Housekeeping Office.
  • Adhere strictly to lost and found procedures, ensuring respect for guests' belongings.
  • Practice safety standards consistently.
  • Care for equipment responsibly.
  • Arrive on time and adhere to the posted schedule, maintaining accurate time records.
  • Remain attentive, courteous, and helpful to guests and colleagues at all times.

Additional Duties:
  • Perform other related tasks as assigned by the Floor Supervisor.

Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
  • Possess a neat and pleasant demeanor.
  • Ability to stand and work on feet for extended periods.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions.
