  • Moffitt is building a new Comparative Medicine Core (CMC) and is seeking a Husbandry Operations Manager.
  • As a key member of the CMC team, the Husbandry and Operations Manager leads the daily management of the animal care staff and oversight of a Comparative Medicine Core facility.
  • Manages onboarding including orientation and training of animal care staff covering in the assigned facilities as well as investigators and research support staff.
  • Responsible for participating in bi-annual inspections with the IACUC and attending the USDA walk thru and participates in generating responses.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or animal science or related field is required with five (5) years direct research animal care experience, inclusive of three (3) years direct supervisory experience.
  • Master’s degree in laboratory animal science is preferred with one (1) year direct research animal care experience and one (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Laboratory Animal Technician (LATG) certification
  • Candidate must obtain the Laboratory Animal Technician (LATG) certification within two (2) years of assuming the position.
