Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform daily husbandry and care of animals housed in our centrally managed animal facilities.
  • Prepare caging, bedding, feed, and water in accordance with established practices and procedures.
  • Handle animals using accepted practices and techniques.
  • Understand and comply with regulatory requirements, including the Guide for the Care and Use of Animals and the Animal Welfare Act.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED with a minimum of six years of animal care-related experience and two years of direct research animal care experience.
  • Preferred Associate or Bachelor's degree with at least four years of animal care-related experience and two years of direct research animal care experience.
  • Laboratory Animal Technologist (LATG) Certification desired.
