Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled Database Specialist to play a key role in extracting data from Teradata, Google Big Query, SAP, and other databases to deliver actionable insights to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong scripting capability in Python and SQL, as well as a background in data analytics, with expertise in data flow automation tools like Knime and Alteryx. Candidates with Google Apps Script experience is highly desirable. In this role, you will be responsible for understanding and optimizing queries, cleaning and processing data using Python and SQL.

Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and automate workflows using KNIME to optimize data processing and analysis.
Understand and optimize a portfolio of Alteryx/KNIME workflows, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness in data processing.
Convert Alteryx works flows to KNIME.
Collaborate with client stakeholders and other Virtusa team members to understand data requirements and deliver automated solutions for accurate financial reporting.
Automate the creation of dashboards for business users using tools like Google Sheets, Google Slides, Looker, providing real-time insights, and enhancing decision-making capabilities.
Utilize Python for data cleaning and processing, ensuring data accuracy and consistency across all sources.
Drive data discovery initiatives to uncover valuable insights and opportunities for business improvement.
Consolidate multiple reports into a single dashboard using Knime, simplifying data visualization and analysis for stakeholders.
Extract data from the data warehouse using Teradata and Google BigQuery and create derived datasets for injection into the KPI store data product.Provide support for report automation, streamlining the process of generating and distributing reports.
Conduct thorough testing of reports to ensure that new data aligns with historical data and meets quality standards. Utilize Google Apps Script to automate tasks and enhance productivity in Google Workspace.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
3+ years of experience in data workflow automation and ETL processes using Knime or Alteryx.
Strong understanding of data integration, data management, and workflow automation concepts.
Experience working with various data sources, SQL databases, APIs, Excel, Google Sheets
Proficiency in Alteryx, Knime, Teradata, Google Big Query, and Google Apps Script.
Familiarity with Teradata and Big Query experience pulling data from data warehouses.
Demonstrated ability to automate processes and create intuitive dashboards for business users.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality work under tight deadlines.
Good to have knowledge and experience with Qlik, Tableau, ThoughtSpot and/or Looker.
Good to have programming skills in Python.
