JOB SUMMARY:

Plan, organize, develops and directs the overall operation of the rapid recovery unit  in accordance with current federal, state, local and standards, guidelines and regulations that govern our facility. Management Services will be directed by the Health Services Administrator and the Medical Director to ensure the highest degree of quality care is maintained at all times.

Supervise staff which involves direct and indirect care.

Preparing and administer budget within fiscal guidelines.

Develop and maintain nursing care objectives and standards of nursing care practices.

Plan, organize, and direct effective administration of the rapid recovery unit.

Assure residents of a comfortable, clean, orderly and safe environment.

Assist in the development of Resident Care Plans.

Maintain required records.  Review, update, and revise policies including OSHA, HIPAA, and QA procedures to meet current objectives and State and Federal standards.

Comply with, support and ensure all company policies involving salety and infection control procedures including the proper use of mechanical lifts, gait belts, and PPE.

Ensure medication adminsered as ordered in accordance with nursing standards, company policies, and medical orders.

Monitor staff relations practices to ensure that employees maintain high morale and staff retention through effective communication, prompt problem resolution, positive supervisory practices, and a positive work environment.

Experience Required

  • Rehabilitation and long term care experience
