Summary / Role Purpose

The Senior Product Sales Manager for Optimization & AI/ML (m/f/d) is responsible for directing and supporting collaborative sales efforts and serves as link (overlay) between sales and engineering teams to grow one or more assigned product lines (optiSLang, SimAI).

The successful Senior Product Sales Manager will ensure the profitability and continued growth of a specific set of products for the organization by providing simulation automation & democratization and optimization & AI/ML solutions to Ansys customers. They are excellent presenters that excel at identifying the customer's need and developing effective value propositions.

The Senior Product Sales Manager understands the customer's business priorities and usage of metrics and is clearly able to articulate the value-added benefit that Ansys products provide. A technical background and experience in the simulation field is essential to pair customer's business objectives with technical viability of such new and emerging products.

As an expert in this field, the Senior Product Sales Manager is responsible for achieving a direct sales quota in that product line, as well as supporting overall Ansys success, all within an overlay structure.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs product sales activities for new/renewal business for optiSLang and SimAI to achieve or exceed assigned product and service revenue objectives.
  • Partners withfield and enterprise sales within Ansys and Channel partners, to collaboratively develop and pro-actively execute strategies that drive product and service revenue as part of an overall accountstrategy. This includes the positioning of solutions with high customer value combining this portfolio with complementary Ansys products (e.g. any Ansys simulation solver, Ansys Minerva (SPDM), etc.)
  • Effectivelycontributes toall stages of the sales process.
  • Facilitates communication with the sales and technical team with respect to updates onproduct capabilities, success stories and winning strategies.
  • Serves as business development partner to the sales team by identifying and driving new business opportunities based on new technologies and products.
  • Establishes, develops and maintains business relationships with current and prospectivecustomers to generate new business for the organization's products and services. The focus is on large and medium Ansys customers in North America across several industries.
  • Participates in industry shows and conventions.
  • Creates and leads advanced solutionpresentations to matchidentifiedcustomer needs using company's products & services. Identifies Ansys advantages andpositions Ansys' products and services as superior to competitive offerings.
  • Coordinates and organizes technical (ACE) support for demos,PoCs, support of evaluation,training etc.
  • Works with team members to develop clear and effective written proposals, quotations, andvalue propositions for current and prospective customers.
  • Provides client feedback to product development and marketing staff.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in technical, engineering or related field with 4+years sales or consulting experience in selling engineering/technologyapplications with a proven track record of success OR 6+years sales or consulting experience in selling engineering/technologyapplications with a proven track record of success.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in engineering analysis and technology.
  • Excellentcommunication and organizational skills and the ability to work independently,interdisciplinary and with several teams (ACE, DEV, Marketing, PM etc.) and hierarchies within theorganization.
  • Ability to foster collaboration & coordination with personnel distributed across multiple global sites.
  • Fluent in English and in the local language of the territory.
  • Travel: up to 50%.

Preferred Qualifications and Skills

  • Demonstrated knowledge of company's products/services and pricing practices.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the product market position.
  • General understanding of engineering analysis and technology.
  • General understanding of sales fundamentals.

  • Demonstrated executive presentation and persuasion skills.
  • Strong networking skills, ability to drive new contacts and maintain good business relationships.
