Accounts Payable Clerk Job Responsibilities:

  • Completes payments and controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
  • Charge expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports, and recording entries.
  • Pay vendors by monitoring discount opportunities, verifying federal id numbers, scheduling and preparing checks, and resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
  • Ensures credit is received and applied to proper expense.
  • Pay employees by receiving and verifying expense reports.
  • Verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
  • Responsible for accounts payable record keeping.
  • Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities.

Accounts Payable Clerk Qualifications / Skills:

  • Organization and Prioritization
  • Detail and Accurate
  • Effective Communication Skills
  • Ability to Meet Deadlines
  • Accounting Experience a Plus

Education and Experience:

  • AA Accounting Degree and/or
  • 5+ years experience in accounting office environment
  • Knowledge of QuickBooks and Microsoft 365 Office Required

On site working environment

Monday – Friday 7:30AM to 4:30PM

Starting Hourly rate $23.00 - $25.00
