The Department of Biomedical Sciences has strengths in the areas of cardiovascular, neuroscience, and cancer research. Faculty members have access to several research facilities including a state-of-the-art imaging center. We invite both research emphasis or teaching emphasis applicants. New York Institute of Technology's College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM), one of the largest single-campus medical schools in the U.S., located on Long Island (Old Westbury, N.Y.), is requesting applications for an Assistant/Associate Professor, Microbiology.

Responsibilities
Provide didactic lectures to first and second year medical students in a system-based curriculum.
Facilitate small-group learning sessions in first and second academic years.
Mentor medical students throughout their medical school training.
Serve on committee to fulfill institutional and departmental needs.
Conduct bench or scholarly research and guide students in scholarly activity.
Qualifications
PhD with expertise in microbiology/immunology is preferred.
Post-doctoral training and/or teaching experience preferred.
