Job Opportunity: Assistant/Associate Professor, Biomedical Sciences

Overview:

New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYITCOM) is seeking an Assistant/Associate Professor of Biomedical Sciences to join our faculty at the Long Island campus. As a member of our department, you will have access to state-of-the-art microscopes and histology core facilities, as well as a small animal physiology core with comprehensive assessment of cardiac function and echocardiography.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish a research program in neurodevelopmental or neuroendocrine research and secure external grant funding.
  • Participate in teaching in the College of Medicine, as required.
  • Contribute to the Biomedical Research Imaging Innovation Center (BRIIC) initiative at the NYIT Old Westbury, NY campus.

Qualifications:

  • PhD, MD, DO, or comparable doctoral degree.
  • Experience in cardiovascular, cancer, and neuroscience research, as well as adult human induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) research and iPSC-derived organoid research.
  • Preferred experience in Magnetic Resonance Imaging for basic research.
