Physician Assistant Adjunct Faculty

Seeking a highly qualified Adjunct Faculty Member to support the Department of Physician Assistant Studies in fulfilling its mission, purpose, and goals. The successful candidate will provide didactic lectures, curricular expertise, and departmental initiatives, while fostering an educational environment that promotes innovation, responsiveness, and accountability.
Responsibilities
• Fulfills assigned teaching load, utilizing the Learning Management System (LMS) to supplement instruction and promote active learning.
• Participates in and contributes substantively to course and program level assessment activities, ensuring continuous improvement and alignment with departmental goals.
• Regularly contributes to the improvement or upgrading of course materials and syllabi, collaborating with the Program Chair/Director or Academic Coordinator/Associate Chair.
• Ensures adherence to safety protocols and procedures, as applicable.
• Employs a variety of teaching methodologies to instruct students, with a focus on facilitating observable evidence of student fulfillment of prescribed learning outcomes.
• Demonstrates enthusiasm for teaching and the teaching/learning process, as well as for individual students.
• Schedules approved office hours to meet with students and provides timely feedback and/or academic advising, as needed.
Qualifications
• Master's or doctorate degree, with applicable certification(s) in area(s) of specialization.
• Must provide a statement outlining their educational methodology, consistent with teaching assignments, including education theory and practice, or current concepts relative to specific subjects they will be teaching, or current clinical practice experience, or distance education techniques and delivery.
• Possesses a NYS License to practice as a physician assistant, in addition to NCCPA board certification, and meets and maintains the qualifications and standards set forth by ARC-PA and Middle States for the area of expertise and/or expectations of faculty members as set forth in regulatory documents.
