Acquires knowledge and skills to maintain expertise in area of practice.
Participates in educational activities to improve clinical knowledge and enhance role performance.
Evaluates practice of self and others using professional standards, relevant statutes, and regulations. Takes action to improve performance.
Educates colleagues and/or students and serves as a preceptor and/or mentor.
Initiates/participates in quality improvement activities that result in approved outcomes.
Uses group process to identify, analyze, and resolve care problems.
Administers therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician to include, but not limited to, medication administration, intravenous fluids, and blood transfusions. Operates and monitors specialized equipment to include but not limited to ECG, Vital sign monitors, glucometers, IV pumps and patient care beds.
Independently manages patients receiving sedation/analgesia/anesthesia to include anatomy, physiology, pharmacological modalities, cardiac arrhythmia recognition, and complications related to adverse effects of procedural sedation and general anesthesia.
Effectively functions as a charge nurse role.

Unit is open 5am-8:30pm Monday through Friday. This position is for 10 hour shifts 10am-8:30pm tour or 12-8:30pm.
Management reserves the right alter tours based on the needs of the unit.
