Our client is a $7bn AUM Private Credit GP who, in light of their recent expansion, are looking for an MD to head up their North American Sales team. The successful candidate will raise capital directly from their existing coverage, whilst also managing a team of regionally based sales individuals.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute overall marketing effort across North America, which may differ by region
  • Lead efforts to cultivate new investor relationships and drive commitments across different investor types and regions of North America
  • Develop and help build new prospective investor targets, including but not limited to: pensions, endowments, insurance companies, RIAs, family offices, endowments, foundations, fund of funds, asset managers and consultants
  • Leverage existing client relationships that would be a suitable fit for firm and strategy
  • Effectively advocate for the firm articulating its market position, competitive advantages, and value proposition to prospective investors
  • Lead initial presentations to prospective investors independently and/or with senior team members
  • Manage ongoing list of outstanding investor inquires, due diligence requests, RFPs and other follow-up, and work with product specialist team to ensure timely responses

 

Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree
  • Minimum of 12 years' experience in an IR/Sales or client-facing role
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience in developing relationships with institutional investors and raising capital for private funds. Experience in selling PE/private credit funds is essential.
  • Experience in managing and mentoring a team
  • Existing network of direct LP relationships
  • Ability to effectively communicate an investment to prospect/existing investors, to raise capital.
