What will I do in this position if hired?
This position is being hired in compliance with the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Assistance Act to staff the Hermit's Peak/Calf Canyon Fire Claims Office within FEMA.
In this Program Analyst position, you will serve as an analyst and advisor to management and other entities on the day to day operations of claims offices and related resources and activities, as well as the receipt, processing and payment of recovery claims resulting from the Hermits Peak and Calf Canyon Fires, and communications and customer service across stakeholders.
Typical assignments include:
Using qualitative analysis and knowledge of FEMA programs to analyze and track all incoming Hermit's Peak tasks from assignment to completion. Managing and prioritizing requests for information from internal and external stakeholders and partners. Coordinating requests for Hermit's Peak leadership participation in meetings, briefings, interviews, and other appearances. Ensuring consistent messaging and timely response for all received inquiries. Identifying and evaluating inquiry trends to inform directorate priorities and initiatives. Assisting in providing direction and guidance to other members of the team.
What else do I need to know?
This position will be hired into a temporary 2-year, excepted service appointment. Appointments may be renewed based on workload, funding, and supervisory approval.

Conditions of Employment:

To qualify for this Program Analyst position at the IC-12 level, you must possess one full year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-11 level in the Federal government, which has equipped you with the skills needed to successfully perform the duties of the position. Experience may be obtained in the federal government, a state or local government, or private sector, and must demonstrate the following:
Receiving, tracking, and coordinating responses among stakeholders. Analyzing issues relating to programs or policies and making recommendations for improvement. Developing presentations or reports for leadership review.
