Buckeye Power Sales has been providing on site power solutions for businesses, contractors, engineers, municipalities and homeowners since 1947, which makes us the oldest Kohler generator distributor in the country. We are also a distributor of Siemens Energy engines and generators for a wide range of power generation applications such as combined heat and power, waste to power, prime, and continuous. Our Parts Inventory Control Specialists are responsible for:
  • Directing the ordering of inventory, administration of vendor programs, and capture of discount opportunities as they arise
  • Controlling and overseeing cycle count and physical inventories for the purpose of controlling shrink and maintaining proper stocking levels
  • Maintaining and monitoring price file updates as they occur
  • Participating in selling and customer service activities so as to optimize and sustain sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction
  • Suggesting resolutions for customer issues and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
  • Managing costs and overheads of department
  • Backing up the parts counter sales team as needed and requested by Manager
  • Coordinating maintenance of external parts cabinets
  • Backing up parts administrator duties, including ordering and receiving as needed and directed by Manager
  • Maintaining and control best practices for storing of parts and inventory in a clean, organized manner
  • Maintaining superior customer service to high volume, high demand clients to include direct interaction and phone sales
  • Coordinating efforts of sales, service, purchasing, and warehouse operations
  • Providing recommendations and developing strategies on how to improve quality and quantity of services provided
  • Seeking and continuously developing knowledge and information about competitor activity, pricing and tactics, and communicating this to relevant Company staff

Requirements

  • Conforms with the core values of BPS
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 18+ years of age
  • General knowledge of lawn and garden equipment
  • Retail experience a plus
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to work well unsupervised; able to work independently
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including weekends
  • Good organizational skills and ability to multi-task required
  • Computer skills to include MS office products (Word, Excel, Outlook); data entry
  • Must represent the company in a positive manner at all times
  • Must be able to pass background check and periodic drug screens
