Spherion is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Equipment Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing manufacturing equipment within our client's solar panel production facility. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in semiconductor or solar panel manufacturing and will be responsible for overseeing equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure optimal performance and production efficiency.

Responsibilities:
Lead equipment management: Oversee the installation, setup, and maintenance of production equipment related to solar panel manufacturing.
Troubleshooting and diagnostics: Identify and resolve equipment malfunctions, minimize downtime, and ensure smooth operation of manufacturing tools and machinery.
Continuous improvement: Implement process enhancements to improve equipment performance, efficiency, and yield.
Preventative maintenance: Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and reduce the risk of unexpected breakdowns.
Equipment upgrades: Lead equipment upgrade projects, evaluating new technologies to improve the manufacturing process.
Process optimization: Collaborate with process engineers to optimize equipment performance and ensure it meets the required production specifications.
Vendor management: Interface with equipment vendors and suppliers for maintenance support, spare parts procurement, and equipment upgrades.
Data analysis: Utilize data-driven analysis to monitor equipment performance metrics, detect trends, and recommend corrective actions.
Safety compliance: Ensure that all equipment complies with safety regulations and industry standards.
Training: Provide technical guidance and training to junior engineers, operators, and maintenance staff on equipment operation and best practices.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Skills:
Lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar process improvement certifications.
Experience with cleanroom environments.
Knowledge of photovoltaic (PV) technology and solar energy systems.

Bachelors

Experience:
4-7 years

Qualifications:
Bachelor???s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master???s degree preferred.
Minimum of 5+ years of experience in equipment engineering within semiconductor or solar panel manufacturing.
Strong technical expertise in semiconductor fabrication tools, solar panel production equipment, or related manufacturing technologies.
Proven experience with PLC, SCADA systems, and other automation control systems.
Familiarity with industry standards, including safety protocols and equipment regulations.
Excellent problem-solving skills and hands-on experience with equipment diagnostics.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors.
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize in a fast-paced production environment.
